I make drawings and paintings and I live in Melbourne, Australia.
I attempt to create my art with a gentle indifference, I do not make them easy to look at, or censor them, nor do I offer any conclusions. I also do not try to offend, or make the viewer uncomfortable. There is a detachment in creating these images, yet they are incredibly personal.
I make these images using my own history, memories, beliefs, and stories, and the stories of others, both real and imagined. Childhood, adolescence, puberty and femaleness are key elements in the works, as are dreams, psychology, history and society. These concepts are studied in the works with a range of attitudes, such as curiosity, shame, scepticism, horror, compassion, benevolence, and apathy. Sometimes all at once.
